形態特徵

• Rhizome short, densely tufted. Culms 30-70 cm tall, 1-2 mm thick, smooth.
• Leaves many, basal or subbasal, longer than to shorter than culms, 3-6 mm wide; basal sheaths light brown.
• Spikes 5-12, borne at 3 to 5 nodes, spaced or upper ones close together; terminal spike staminate or gynaecandrous with a few pistillate flowers, linear, 2-6 cm long, ca. 2 mm wide, whitish brownish; lateral spikes pistillate or rarely bearing a few staminate flowers at base, single or upper ones 2 to 4-nate, subsessile to long peduncle, cylindrical to oblong, 2-6 cm long, 6-7 mm wide, subdensely many-flowered, pale. Bracts leafy, mostly overtopping inflorescence, lower ones long-sheathing.
• Pistillate glumes elliptic to oblong, 3.7-4 mm long, pale, contracted at apex, green costa forming a cusp or a awn ca. 1 mm long. Utricles suberect to erect-patent, ellipsoid to ovoid, 5.5-7 mm long, slightly swollen becoming obtusely trigonous, pale-greenish, slenderly several-nerved, puberulent on upper half, beak rather long, truncate or bidentate. Achenes loosely inclosed, obovate to oval, trigonous, 2-2.5 mm long, stipitate; style slender; stigmas 3, rather short.

• 台灣 : grassy place near by seacoast from north; rare.
• 世界 : Japan, Korea and the Ryukyus.
